Data Deletion Instructions

You can request deletion of your Barrier account and associated account data directly inside the Barrier mobile app.

How to delete your account

1. Open the Barrier mobile app.
2. Go to your account or settings screen.
3. Select Delete Account.
4. Review the confirmation prompt.
5. Confirm deletion to submit your request.

Once confirmed, Barrier will begin deleting your account and associated account data, subject to any information we are required or permitted to retain for legal, security, billing, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or compliance purposes.

What gets deleted

Deleting your account removes the records held for that account, including:

• your skincare profile — skin type, sensitivities, goals, concerns, and preferences;
• your routine, shelf, and saved products;
• your journal entries, check-ins, and notes;
• photos you saved, including skin and progress photos, and any Skin Score values derived from them;
• your watchlists and their alert history;
• your Barrier Expert conversation history;
• your account identifiers and settings.

Backups are cycled out on a rolling schedule, so a copy may persist in backup storage briefly after your live records are removed.

Deleting individual items instead

If you want to remove specific things without closing your account, you can delete individual photos, journal entries, saved products, and watchlist items inside the app. Deleting a photo removes it from your account and from our media storage.

Subscriptions

If you subscribed through the Apple App Store, deleting your Barrier account does not automatically cancel that subscription. Manage or cancel it in your Apple ID subscription settings.
